Lao Cai Attractions

Lao Cai, a province in the highland of the North, can bring you more than great impression. They are famous for cave and stone, one of them is the Cave of the Fairies with the legend of three daughter of the king of the heaven. They once asked her father to go down on the Earth to play, but forgot to return. Their father’s kind got furious, and he sent Heaven Thunder (Thien Loi) to find and punish his sisters. The sisters tried to escape, hid in this cave, but couldn’t get away from the Thunder. In consequence, they must commit suicide, and people call the cave they hid the Cave of the fairies since then. Another highlight is the ancient stone field in Muong Hoa valley, with hundreds of stones in various sizes and shapes.
