E-Visa
Vietnam applies its new policy for e-visa effective from 1 February 2017.

As of 2025, citizens from all countries are allowed to apply for their visa online, in addition to the traditional method of obtaining a visa through a Vietnamese embassy.
Eligible countries
Below is a list of nationalities that can apply online for an E-Visa:

How to apply
- You can visit the Immigration Department website: https://evisa.xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn/trang-chu-ttdt for further information about e-visas and to submit your visa application form.
- Required documents: Online application form, photos for submission, a scan of your passport, and the application fee (25 USD ~ 630,000 VND as of early 2025).
- Processing time is 03-05 business days, and the application result will be sent to your email. You can also check the status of your visa application on the same website using the application number. To request expedited processing, you may go through local agencies such as rushvietnamvisa or myvietnamvisa.com.
- Those whose nationalities are not yet on the eligible list can still apply for a visa through their local embassy/consulate or for a visa on arrival.
