The most trusted taxi brand currently is Mai Linh (green and white vehicles) and Vinasun (white with green accents). Fares range from 15,000 VND to 25,000 VND per kilometer (approximately $0.65 to $1.10).

Bus

Numerous bus lines connect Hanoi Old Quarter with other parts of the city. The most notable routes include:

  • Number 9: connects to Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (departs from bus stop near Hoan Kiem Lake)
  • Number 14: connects to the east side of West Lake (departs from Hoan Kiem Lake bus stop)
