Hang Buom – Street of Sail
Apart from the taciturn touch of the sacred temple, Hang Buom is always holding an exciting vibe with busy merchandising activities of locals from dawn to dusk.
Historically, the street was known as “Hang Buom” due to its focus on selling sails (Buom translates to ‘sail’ in Vietnamese). Today, however, Hang Buom is a diverse hub offering an array of attractions, from delightful confectioneries and bustling street food stalls during the day to vibrant clubs featuring EDM for party enthusiasts at night.
If you have the chance, dedicate an entire evening to explore the “Hang Buom Culinary Trail” after 7:30 PM from Friday to Sunday each week. Experience the lively rhythm of life in the Old Quarter as you wander through the streets.
At 76 Hang Buom, where it intersects with Ta Hien, you'll immediately notice the fragrant incense emanating from Bach Ma Temple—one of the most visited temples by locals residing in the Old Quarter area. Be sure to dress modestly and maintain a respectful quietness upon entering this sacred space.
