For a tour around Hanoi’s Old Quarter and Hoan Kiem Lake area in 2025, visitors have numerous transportation options: hiring a “xich lo” (Vietnamese cyclo), utilizing “xe om” (motor-taxi service), riding a bicycle, or simply walking. Additionally, for an eco-friendly alternative, tourists can hop on the electric cars that provide a short and informational city tour tailored specifically for visitors.
Where can I find electric cars?
Once you've decided to explore the Old Quarter by electric car, you may wonder where to catch one. Numerous electric cars traverse the streets, but tickets must be purchased at designated terminals. The ticket stall is conveniently located on Dinh Tien Hoang Street, the tree-lined avenue adjacent to Hoan Kiem Lake and the pedestrian street that operates on weekends. This spot is easily recognizable, marked by several electric cars parked nearby and a queue of eager passengers.
