The world heritage sites in Vietnam through lens of photographers
As one of many programs, activities to celebrate the Independence Day, September 2nd, a grand photo exhibition titled “The World Heritage Sites in Vietnam” composing 206 finest pictures has opened in Da Nang.
As part of the celebrations for Independence Day on September 2nd, a grand photo exhibition titled “The World Heritage Sites in Vietnam” featuring 206 stunning photographs has opened in Da Nang.
The exhibited photographs were carefully selected from over 2,000 entries submitted by 282 talented Vietnamese and international photographers. After six months of collection and evaluation, the organizing committee chose the most authentic, vibrant, and captivating works to showcase at this exhibition.
Visitors can experience the essence of eleven significant tangible and intangible World Heritage Sites in Vietnam. These include the Hue Imperial Citadel, Ha Long Bay, My Son Sanctuary, Hoi An Ancient Town, the Thang Long Imperial Citadel, Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, the Central Highlands Cultural Space, Hue Royal Court Music, Ca Tru, Quan Ho Bac Ninh, and the Giong Festival. These evocative images offer an unforgettable “photo journey” across the nation, igniting a sense of love and pride among Vietnamese people.
According to Mr. Vi Kien Thanh, the head of the Department of Fine Arts, Photography, and Exhibition and the chief organizer of the exhibition, the selected photographs will not only be compiled into a published book but also featured in exhibitions abroad as part of Vietnam’s tourism promotion initiatives.
This photo exhibition is being held at the Da Nang Fine Art Museum from August 30th to September 6th, and will subsequently move to the Exhibition Center of Fine Arts and Photography, located at 29 Hang Bai Street, Hanoi, from October 10th to October 17th, 2025.
