1.000 drones is used for Saigon Water Festival

This special festival will take place from June 1st to June 10th, 2025, featuring an expanded scale and duration compared to previous years. Attendees can expect a series of events focused on tourism, entertainment, sports, and cuisine.

The play "Legendary Journey" is anticipated to be the highlight of this year's festivities. This production consists of five chapters that narrate historic train journeys, intricately linked to key milestones in the formation and development of Ho Chi Minh City.

Set against the picturesque backdrop of the Saigon River, the play will feature 1,000 professional actors performing with cutting-edge cinematic effects. Innovations such as 3D mapping and 1,000 coordinated drones will enhance the visual experience, providing a dynamic spectacle as the scenes evolve throughout the performance.

This year's festival will be held at the Saigon Port area, specifically at Nha Rong Wharf and various districts along the Saigon River. The timing of the event has been strategically chosen to align with the onset of summer, which is peak season for international tourists visiting Ho Chi Minh City, aiming to mitigate the potential challenges posed by weather conditions.

In addition to the theatrical performances, the festival will showcase cultural, artistic, and water sports activities, including thrilling water motor shows, stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) races, swimming competitions, and reenactments of the vibrant Mekong Delta floating market, complemented by a variety of culinary experiences.

The opening night on June 1st will feature an impressive fireworks display, illuminating the Saigon sky.

With meticulous planning and preparation, the Saigon Water Festival 2025 is set to attract even more tourists than in previous years.
