The world heritage sites in Vietnam through lens of photographers

As one of many programs, activities to celebrate the Independence Day, September 2nd, a grand photo exhibition titled “The World Heritage Sites in Vietnam” composing 206 finest pictures has opened in Da Nang.

As part of the celebrations for Independence Day on September 2nd, a grand photo exhibition titled "The World Heritage Sites in Vietnam" featuring 206 exceptional images has opened in Da Nang.

The exhibited photographs were meticulously chosen from over 2,000 submissions by 282 Vietnamese and international photographers. After six months of collection and assessment, the organizing committee selected the most authentic, vibrant, and striking images to showcase in this exhibition.

Visitors can immerse themselves in the rich essence of eleven tangible and intangible World Heritage Sites in Vietnam, including the Hue Imperial Citadel, Ha Long Bay, My Son Sanctuary, Hoi An Ancient Town, Thang Long Imperial Citadel, Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, the Central Highlands’ Cong Chieng Cultural Space, Hue Royal Court Music, Ca tru, Quan ho Bac Ninh, and the Giong Festival. The evocative photographs are sure to offer viewers an extraordinary "photo trip" across the nation, inspiring love and pride among the Vietnamese people.

Mr. Vi Kien Thanh, the Head of the Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibition, as well as the chief organizer of this exhibition, mentioned that in addition to being published in a picture book, these photographs will be showcased in exhibitions abroad as part of Vietnam's tourism promotion program.

This photo exhibition will take place at the Da Nang Fine Art Museum from August 30th to September 6th, before moving to the Exhibition Center for Fine Arts and Photography at No. 29 Hang Bai Street, Hanoi, from October 10th to October 17th, 2025.
