Quang Ninh resumes inner-provincial tourism
As of January 2025, Quang Ninh has successfully managed its Covid-19 situation, with no new cases reported in over 30 days. In response, the People’s Committee of Quang Ninh has decided to reopen tourist attractions, religious sites, and various service establishments, effective from 12 PM on February 1, 2025. Tourism in the region had been restricted since 12 PM on January 5, 2025, impacting key destinations such as Halong Bay and Bai Tu Long Bay, both essential attractions for visitors.

According to the latest announcements, various establishments such as restaurants, cafés, cultural venues, sports activities, fitness centers, yoga studios, billiard halls, and golf courses are allowed to resume operations. Nevertheless, certain facilities deemed non-essential, including bars, pubs, massage parlors, karaoke venues, dance clubs, and gaming centers, will remain closed.
Furthermore, the Quang Ninh People’s Committee has mandated that all reopened service and tourism establishments must strictly adhere to Covid-19 preventive measures. They are also responsible for managing and supervising compliance with these protocols.
In addition, the province is working on promoting safe tourism packages that include SARS-CoV-2 testing services to facilitate health checks for tourists. This initiative aims to ensure both the safety of service providers and a smooth recovery for Quang Ninh's tourism and economic sectors as a whole.
