More Vietnam Localities Welcome International Tourists In November
As of November 2025, five destinations in Vietnam are welcoming foreign tourists: Kien Giang, Da Nang, Quang Ninh, Khanh Hoa, and Quang Nam.
This marks a significant step in the ongoing effort to resume international tourism in Vietnam, emphasizing a balance between speed and safety. In a recent meeting between the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and local authorities, it was clarified that travelers must provide information regarding their destinations and accommodations. Additionally, tourists are required to take a Covid-19 test after the first seven days of their stay.
While specific details regarding the safe-for-travel areas within these destinations have not been released, the five highlighted locations are renowned for their beautiful beaches and exceptional tourist experiences. Notably, Phu Quoc Island (Kien Giang), Halong Bay (Quang Ninh), and Hoi An Ancient Town (Quang Nam) continue to be popular among foreign travelers.

Looking ahead, additional destinations may apply to welcome international tourists in the next phase starting in January 2026. These locations will be evaluated by the tourism ministry beforehand to determine their eligibility.
Currently, a 7-day centralized quarantine remains mandatory for all travelers with vaccine passports upon their arrival in Vietnam.
