Managed by Phu Quoc Express JSC, the transport company has reestablished the service in response to heightened tourism demand between these two significant destinations in Central Vietnam.
The Da Nang - Ly Son high-speed boat measures 44.7 meters in length and can accommodate up to 612 passengers at a time. This well-equipped vessel can achieve a top speed of 33 nautical miles per hour, facilitating a travel duration of just over 2 hours between Da Nang and Ly Son Island.
In its current operational phase, the schedule includes two round trips daily. The fare is 590,000 VND (approximately 25 USD) per person for a one-way journey during weekdays. On weekends, prices can range from 720,000 VND to 980,000 VND (about 30 to 42 USD) per person for a one-way trip.
Previously, travel between Da Nang and Ly Son was quite challenging, requiring travellers to drive 150 km and then board a ferry to reach Ly Son Island. This high-speed boat service represents a strategic effort to enhance tourism recovery and attract more domestic and international visitors to Central Vietnam following the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic.
