From 18th to 20th August, 2011, in Hanoi, tourists and those who take an avid interest in history and culture will stand a golden chance to contemplate such a huge collection of archaeological items of the World Cultural Heritage Site – Ho Citadel, and other cultural sites located in Thanh Hoa province for the first time, in a exhibition named “UNESCO Culture- Education Exhibition for Sustainable Development”.
Ho Citadel (or Tay Do or An Ton citadel), which has been recognized as the World Cultural Heritage Site since the last June, is presented to the public through the planning model of Tay Do citadel, royal citadel architecture model, archaeological items found out in the citadel and surrounding areas. Besides, many DVDs, VCDs, photo albums, domestic and international newspapers and magazines introducing Ho Citadel, collected or produced by the organizers, are also on display to ensure objective, informative and diversified documentary sources for visitors.
Besides, other valuable cultural heritages like pagoda, temple, and shrine system (Ba Trieu temple, Le Hoan temple, Gia Mieu communal house, Trinh palace…), Dong Son archaeological sites, Tam Tho – ancient pottery production area are also displayed in the exhibition with the hope of providing visitors an all-sided perspective of rich cultural values in Thanh Hoa. This exhibition is also an occasion to attract more tourists as well as investors to natural tourism attractions in the province like Sam Son beach, Cam Luong fish stream, Ben En National park, Mo water fall.
