Vietnamese Zodiac
Vietnam zodiac signs include 12 animals sequentially appearing in a cycle of 12 years. This system mostly resembles the Chinese zodiac, except Ox and Rabbit which are replaced by Buffalo and Cat respectively. Each animal is believed to represent a typical personality of a human. For instance, Rat is smart, Buffalo is strong, and Snake is lucky. Besides familiar animals to Vietnamese people, the dragon is the only mythical and holy animal.

When a Vietnamese asks another how old she is, how do you expect her to answer? 21, 22 or 34? The answer probably is “I am a buffalo”. It does matter here in the country which sign or animal a person belongs to since it can decide how the rest of her life is going to shape.
