Vietnam Weather

In Hanoi, this week is mostly fine and dry with some sunshine in the day time, sometimes turning rainy at night. It seems that the month of Nguu Lang, Chuc Nu (July in lunar calendar) is nearly over as rain is slowly ease across southern parts in previous days. Yet, the nature appears to be more stubborn than that expected. A spell of heavy showers has gradually died away to give way to another spell of thundery shower that soon brings Hanoi cold winds, fresh air and even flooding. The city will be sunnier when the next week starts. Ho Chi Minh City is a little rainier than its moody, reflective older brother with heavy rain shower during the weekend and thundery shower in very first days of next week.

Vietnam Destination

Con Dao archipelago used to be a place most Vietnamese shuddered to think about as it was the home to one of the harshest prison systems in the country in war. These days, the island is no different from a vivid museum of both history and nature and the most serene in Vietnam. In spite of, or perhaps due to, its ugly history, Con Dao is highly recommended as one of Southeast Asia’s most untouched and stunning getaways.
