Check Out Vietnam Destinations Opened For Tourists From October

As of October 1, 2025, several provinces in Central Vietnam are set to welcome back domestic tourists from designated safe zones, while the North and South continue to promote intra-provincial tourism.

In the North, Hai Phong, known for its stunning Cat Ba Island and Lan Ha Bay, has officially reopened its tourist attractions and accommodation facilities for local travelers. Guests and tour guides are required to have received a full vaccination, provide a negative Covid-19 test result, or present a recovery certificate from Covid-19.

Additionally, some provinces are resuming tourism activities for in-province exploration. Notable locations include the Tay Yen Tu tourist area, Ven Village community-based tourism site, and Suoi Mo ecological tourist area, alongside several golf courses in Bac Giang. Quang Ninh, Thanh Hoa, Vinh Phuc, Hoa Binh, and Sapa are prioritizing travelers from safe areas that test negative for Covid-19. In Hanoi, social distancing restrictions have been lifted, allowing outdoor activities, although gatherings are still limited to a maximum of 10 people.

In the Central Region, Khanh Hoa Province has begun welcoming intra-provincial tourists based on their vaccination cards. Fully vaccinated visitors (green cards) and those with one vaccine dose (yellow cards) can access isolated tourist areas starting October 1, with an expected broader reopening for domestic travelers from October 16 to November 11.

Thua Thien Hue, celebrated for its historical significance, has resumed access to the Hue Citadel, Minh Mang’s Tomb, Tu Duc’s Tomb, and Khai Dinh’s Tomb, with visits allowed only in outdoor areas.

Moreover, travelers holding green or yellow cards and a negative Covid-19 test can join package tours in Quang Binh starting in October. Local residents are permitted to swim at public beaches in Da Nang early in the morning, with accommodation establishments allowed to reopen at 30% capacity.

Lam Dong, home to the renowned Da Lat city, is now welcoming intra-provincial travelers to attractions, 2-star and higher accommodations, restaurants, and street food stalls at reduced capacity levels.

Binh Thuan is projected to welcome domestic travelers and expatriates starting from October 20, with key attractions in Phan Thiet city and tourist sites adhering to safety standards established by the Provincial People’s Committee.

In the South, Ho Chi Minh City has reopened attractions, resorts, and accommodations for individuals who are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 or possess a Covid-19 recovery certificate. While social distancing measures have been lifted, local residents are not allowed to leave the city without prior authorization.

Additionally, Ba Ria Vung Tau is accepting domestic travelers who have received two vaccine doses, at least 14 days after the last injection, to four designated pilot resorts, including Six Senses Resort Con Dao, Melia Ho Tram Resort, The Grand Ho Tram Resort & Casino, and Binh Chau Hot Spring. Guests are required to stay within the resort's premises.
