Tourism Program “Drop by the North West – Son La 2011”
In order to foster Son La tourism development in particular, as well as creating a tourism linkage among North West provinces like Son La, Hoa Binh, Dien Bien, Lai Chau, a tourism program named “Drop by the North West – Son La 2011” will be held in Son La, from August 27th to September 2nd, 2011.
Son La, a province in the Northwest region of Vietnam known for its breathtaking mountainous landscapes and pleasant climate throughout the year, has become a prominent destination for eco-tourism. The province is home to 12 ethnic groups, each contributing to a rich tapestry of cultural diversity and customs, making it an ideal location for cultural and community-based tourism. Additionally, Son La is recognized for its agricultural products, particularly tea and dairy products. However, the town of Moc Chau in Son La still has untapped potential when it comes to tourism development.
To promote tourism in Son La and enhance collaboration among Northwest provinces such as Son La, Hoa Binh, Dien Bien, and Lai Chau, a tourism initiative titled “Discover Northwest: Son La 2025” is set to take place from August 27th to September 2nd, 2025.
Visitors to Son La during this event can expect to enjoy a vibrant festival atmosphere filled with a variety of cultural, sporting, and commercial activities. The festival will feature a Commercial Fair, a Traditional Cuisine Fair, a Photo Exhibition, the “Xoe” Festival, and numerous traditional sporting events showcasing the heritage of the area’s ethnic communities.
