846 more Vietnam Airlines flights to be added for Tet Holiday
Although Tet (or Vietnam Lunar New Year) is another 3 months away, many plans already get going to deal with the high volume of transportation, tourism and purchasing power.
Although Tet (or Vietnam Lunar New Year) is still a few months away, preparations are already underway to accommodate the expected surge in transportation, tourism, and consumer spending. As a key player in this sector, Vietnam Airlines has announced plans to add at least 1,200 additional flights to its extensive domestic flight network for the upcoming holiday season.
The new flights will be primarily targeted at popular routes such as Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City and Ho Chi Minh City - Da Nang. With traffic expected to increase by approximately 12%, these additional flights will provide nearly 250,000 extra seats, facilitating travel for both locals returning home and tourists visiting Vietnam during this festive period.
Travelers are strongly encouraged to book their flights well in advance if they plan to fly in late January or early February to Vietnam. Past Tet holidays have consistently experienced high demand, leading to overcrowding on both flights and trains as numerous city residents head back to their hometowns for family reunions.
