Day 1: Hanoi City Tour > Night Train to Lao Cai
Morning pickup at Hanoi Airport before downtown for lunch at local restaurant. Visit the Temple of Literature – the first university of Vietnam with typical architecture of ancient Hanoi. Take a cyclo tour around Hanoi Old Quarter. Visit busy Dong Xuan market and then proceed to water puppet performance. Check in hotel room for a short rest and shower. Dinner is own your own. Transfer to train station for a night train to Lao Cai. Overnight on train.
Day 2: Sapa Arrival - Sapa Trekking
Early morning arrive at Lao Cai. Transfer to breathtaking-landscapes Sapa (a home to various Vietnamese ethnic minorities) with our local guide. Local breakfast at Sapa before trekking to the villages. Sneak through the market and leave the busy town behind before going downhill to idyllic Cat Cat village. Stop by a waterfall and a hydroelectric station for a while. Trek on a dirt trail through rice paddy terraces and enjoy spectacular scenery while walking along a narrow river. Arrive at Y Linh Ho village of Black Hmong minority, where you can take a rest while river-nearby lunch is served. Head to Muong Hoa valley then pass through Lao Chai village of Black Hmong minority and then Ta Van village of Giay minority. Walk along the valley to enjoy the view as well as swim in the river nearby. Return to Sapa. Dinner is own your own. Overnight in Sapa
Day 3 : Silver Waterfall Tour > Lao Cai > HanoiMorning breakfast at hotel before departing for the Silver Waterfall. Located half hour drive from Sapa, the Water Fall offers stunning views over surrounding mountains and lush forests belonging to Hoang Lien National Park. Stop by a local farm to enjoy a cup of traditional tea. Have a talk with friendly locals. Drive uphill to Heaven Gate, the highest stretch road of Vietnam. Enjoy the fantastic view over the valley. Free afternoon for wandering through Sapa market and doing some shopping. Return to Lao Cai. Meals are included. Overnight on train back to Hanoi.
Day 4: Hanoi > Ha Long Bay
Morning pick up and transfer to Halong Bay. Arrive to Halong at noon and get on our traditional wooden boat/cruise. Enjoy your time for relaxing, sightseeing and swimming. Visit both Bai Tu Long Bay and Ha Long Bay. Luxurious lunch on top deck as the cruise passes by Monster Head and majestic islet. Visit Vung Vieng - the most crowded fishing village in Ha Long Bay. Time for kayaking. You will soon fall in love with the tranquil bay scenery.
Day 5: Ha Long Bay > HanoiIf you can wake up early, make sure you go to the sundeck for an early Tai Chi lesson. You will get to visit Surprise Cave, the most impressive cave in the Bay. Brunch will be served and by noon you are back to the pier to take the car ride back to Hanoi, end of a luxurious and memorable trip. Free at the rest of the day in Hanoi. Dinner is on your own. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 6: Hanoi > Ninh Binh Tour
Morning pick up for a drive to Ninh Binh after breakfast. Visit Hoa Lu Ancient Capital. Experience the solemn beauty of King Le's and King Dinh's temples. Arrive in Tam Coc Wharf. Buffet lunch with Vietnamese cuisine is served. Get on Sampan boats for a cave and countryside landscape visit. Back to Tam Coc Wharf for chilling out. Cycle to Bich Dong amidst typical idyllic country houses, green paddy fields. Take a bus back to Hanoi. Dinner is own your own. Overnight in Hanoi
Day 7: Hanoi OutEnjoy breakfast at hotel and the day is for you to explore. Check out at noon and have lunch. Free at the rest of the day until the time transfer to airport for your flight back home. Trip ends.
