In a recent meeting, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism informed that domestic tourism will restart from November this year. The tourism activities will initially be applied to travelers coming from safe destinations in which the pandemic is under control. Moreover, visitors have to seriously comply with Covid-19 preventive measures including vaccine certificate, negative Covid-19 test result (PCR or quick test), health declaration, “5K message”, and using health apps required by the Vietnam Ministry of Health.
Previously, Phu Quoc was selected by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to apply for the pilot program to welcome international travelers in package tours from November 2021 to March 2022. After that, Ha Long, Hoi An, Nha Tran, and Da Lat will be the next destinations in the plan to open for inbound tourism from December 2021 to June 2022.
