Accordingly, the plan is applied for visitors coming from high-safety countries from Covid-19 pandemics such as Northeast Asia, Middle East, Australia, or Europe and having demands for beach and resort vacation.

Foreign travelers must prove their full vaccination certificate or COVID-19 recovery certificate which is valid within 12 months prior to the entry date, a negative  Covid-19 test within 72 hours before departure. They are also required to have health insurance and travel insurance commitments with their travel agencies. Visitors showing any symptoms of Covid-19 at the entry are forced to follow quarantine policy as well.

Under the plan, children under 12 years old can travel with their parents or guardians that meet all the above requirements.

Besides, it is compulsory for every foreign traveler to install travel apps to make a medical declaration upon arrival, travel on the selected cars in a scheduled program, and comply with the Health Ministry’s 5K message about prevention measures during the journey.

Phu Quoc expects to receive 3,000 - 5,000 foreign tourists for the first 3 months of the pilot program starting from October 2021. The second period on the next 3 months may be adjusted depending on the result of the first period.
