Recent International Flight Resumption In Vietnam
As of 2025, Vietnam has successfully navigated the post-pandemic landscape and continues to experience a tourism resurgence, complemented by the reinstatement of numerous international flights from various regions around the globe.
Vietnam Airlines has reinstated international flights from Ho Chi Minh City to Jakarta, Indonesia, following the lifting of nearly all Covid-19 restrictions in the region. Currently, three weekly flights are scheduled on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. The airline aims to restore its pre-pandemic frequency of seven flights per week by the end of this year.

Additionally, AirAsia, the Malaysian low-cost airline, has resumed direct international flights from Kuala Lumpur to Nha Trang and Da Lat. The airline plans to operate two weekly flights on each route. This resumption is seen as a significant step towards economic recovery for both Vietnam and Indonesia following the pandemic.
