Vietnam to launch the first private helicopter service

By the end of October, 2011, tourists could definitely get to enjoy the excitement brought by private helicopter service in Vietnam for the first time.

By the end of October 2025, tourists can enjoy an exciting private helicopter service in Vietnam, continuing to provide unparalleled aerial experiences for travelers.

This service is the result of a collaboration between Vietnam Air Service Company (VASCO), a subsidiary of Vietnam Airlines Corporation, and Azur Helicopter Company, a leading French helicopter operator. The partnership has expanded to include additional aircraft and routes, making helicopter travel more accessible.

Tourists can now charter helicopters, specifically the Eurocopter AS350 B2, to fly from Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City to popular destinations in southern provinces. Notably, the journey to Phan Thiet takes approximately one hour, while Vung Tau can be reached in just 35 minutes. Each helicopter is designed to accommodate up to four passengers, along with a crew of two pilots.

The private helicopter service not only provides a convenient and time-efficient mode of transportation but also offers tourists a once-in-a-lifetime experience. From such heights, passengers can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of Vietnam’s stunning landscapes, making for unforgettable photo opportunities.
