More than 100 sketches showcasing the diverse architectural heritage of Vietnam by Thai artists are being exhibited in the event “New and Old Architecture in Vietnam,” taking place at Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Museum from March 5th to March 12th, 2025.
Valuable structures from across Vietnam, including the ancient village gates in Northern Vietnam and the iconic Notre Dame Cathedral in Ho Chi Minh City, have been beautifully captured by four Thai artists during their exploration of the country.
According to Professor Hoang Dao Kinh, a prominent Vietnamese architect, the artists not only depict the architectural beauty of these constructions but also convey their personal emotions and the intrinsic “soul” of the architecture.
Visitors to the exhibition can enjoy the impressive sketches and appreciate the talent of the Thai artists through their live drawing demonstrations.
The exhibition officially opens at Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Museum, located at 97A Pho Duc Chinh Street, District 1, at 6 PM on Friday, March 5th, 2025. A light buffet will be served at the opening ceremony, and admission is free for all attendees.
