Phong Nha-Ke Bang voted one of the world’s best national parks in 2021 by Tripadvisor
Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, a UNESCO-recognized global heritage site in Central Vietnam, has been ranked 15th on TripAdvisor's list of the world's top 25 national parks for 2025, as chosen by readers through their reviews and ratings.

Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park remains the only representative from Southeast Asia on this prestigious list. The ranking is determined by the quantity and quality of global traveler reviews collected over the previous year on TripAdvisor’s platform.
This stunning national park is home to Son Doong, which holds the title of the largest and most spectacular natural cave in the world. With its breathtaking karst landscapes, the park was designated as a UNESCO global heritage site in 2003. Spanning over 1,000 square kilometers, it consists of more than 400 limestone caves and grottoes that were geologically formed approximately 400 million years ago, of which 30 are now open for ecotourism activities.
Leading the TripAdvisor rankings for 2025 is Serengeti National Park in Tanzania, followed closely by Jim Corbett National Park in India in second place and Maasai Mara National Reserve in Kenya ranking third.
Quang Binh to wave half of entrance fees to famous caves in 2022
In order to promote provincial tourism, the authorities of Quang Binh province announced to cut in a half entrance fees to many caves including Son Doong – the world’s biggest natural caves in Vietnam by cross-section measure and also the most costly one.
