Ban Gioc Waterfalls in Cao Bang
Situated on the border between Vietnam and China, approximately 335 km from Hanoi, Ban Gioc Waterfall is surrounded by lush, dense forest and showcases the majestic flow of water cascading from multiple tiers into a stunning turquoise lake below. The magazine has described how "water flows endlessly through pools, down tiers, and over cliffs in a distinctive horseshoe shape."
With a width of 300 meters, Ban Gioc is not only one of the four largest border waterfalls globally, but it is also recognized as the largest natural waterfall in Southeast Asia. It is divided into two sections, with the main segment shared between both countries, while the smaller section is located solely within Vietnam's territory. The best way to fully appreciate the breathtaking sight of the waterfall is by taking a bamboo boat ride, which is available for approximately USD 2.50 (VND 60,000).
Other notable waterfalls featured in the magazine's selection include Havasu (United States), Jim Jim (Australia), Kawasan (Philippines), Jog (India), and Kuang Si (Laos).
