The Centre and Central Highland to celebrate culture and tourism

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in Vietnam has decided to organize a grand Festival in the Centre and Central Highland of Vietnam this July.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in Vietnam has decided to organize a grand Festival in the Centre and Central Highland of Vietnam this July. With the theme of “Sea and Island Tourism”, the festival has participations from 13 regional provices including Khanh Hoa, Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Da Nang, Dad Lak, Dac Nong, Gia Lai, Kon Tun and Lam Dong.  

The festival will be held from July 1st to 7th, 2011 with three main activities:

July 1 - 3: the Festival of Culture, Sports and Tourism in Central Vietnam and Central Highland 
July 1 - 5: "Tourism in South Central Coast – Phu Yen 2011” sports events
July 6 - 9: Food Festival

This festival is intended to promote national and regional tourism, introducing the characteristics and cultural traditions of regional ethics; thereby effectively taking advantages of potential tourism resources and promoting investments from both domestic and foreign tourists to develop Vietnamsese tourism. It also aims to propagate people in Central Vietnam – Tay Nguyen to actively participate in the movement “All people unite to build a cultural life” and the campaign initiated by Ho Chi Minh “All people do physical exercises for mutual health”.  

Associating with Phu Yen celebration for its 400 years of development, the festival is also an opportunity to learn about patriotism and Vietnamese proud, traditional history
