Sibylle Bergemann’s photo exhibition to be held at Goethe Institute
The exhibition starts at 6.00pm on 11th, October 2011 with a small opening ceremony and last to 12th November at Goethe Institute in Vietnam (56-58 Nguyen Thai Hoc Street).

Featured in the exhibition are the photographic masterpieces of renowned German photographer Sibylle Bergemann. The collection includes various photo series that focus on social development during her time. Through her lens, Sibylle’s pursuit of artistic freedom is vividly expressed.
Sibylle Bergemann is regarded as one of the most influential and groundbreaking photographers in East Germany during the Cold War era. Her works continue to resonate across the globe, impacting countless generations in Germany and beyond. She sadly passed away in November 2022 in Gransee, near Brandenburg.
The Goethe Institute in Vietnam serves as a cultural organization of Germany, named after the illustrious German poet Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. Its primary goal is to promote German culture through a variety of activities, including teaching the German language, hosting exhibitions, film premieres, and concerts.
