Picture book on General Vo Nguyen Giap exhibited
A new picture book of the General Vo Nguyen Giap entitled “General Vo Nguyen Giap, A Century – Two Resistance Wars” is being exhibited in the Gallery No 45 Trang Tien street, Hanoi.
A new picture book of the General Vo Nguyen Giap entitled “General Vo Nguyen Giap, A Century – Two Resistance Wars” is being exhibited in the Gallery No 45 Trang Tien street, Hanoi.
The book which has 130 pages includes nearly 300 pictures of the General, has been published by Kim Dong Publishing House to mark his 100th birthday (1911-2011). These precious photos were collected from various sources and lively arranged in chronological order to reflect the life and career of the legendary General, as well as his significant contributions to the Party and the nation’s revolution. Especially, many pictures in the book have come out to the public for the first time.
The exhibition and the book have granted contemporary people, young generation in particular, a fascinating insight into the pre-eminent military commander of Vietnamese armed forces, two heroic resistance wars of Vietnamese in the 20th century and meaningful historical messages. The display will close after 3rd September, so just hurry to drop by Trang Tien Street and take a look at the marvelous work of arts as soon as possible.
Exhibition to highlight Vietnam’s heritage and handicrafts to be held in December
