Diwali Festival to sparkle Hanoi in late October

The Indian Business Chamber (Incham) recently announced that one of the most important festivals in India name “Diwali” (Festival of Lights) will be celebrated on October 29, at Van Ho Exhibition Center in Hanoi.

The Indian Business Chamber (Incham) has announced that the much-anticipated festival of Diwali, known as the Festival of Lights, will be celebrated in Hanoi this year. This event is organized in collaboration with the Indian Embassy and the Indian community residing in the city.

The cultural celebration is set to take place from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM on 29 October 2025, at the Van Ho Exhibition Center. Attendees can look forward to a vibrant array of activities including traditional dances, musical performances, games, fashion shows, and lucky draws, all aimed at showcasing the richness of Indian culture. Additionally, there will be kiosks featuring Indian beverages and handicrafts, allowing guests to experience authentic Indian products.

Diwali is one of the most significant and spectacular festivals in Indian culture, and it is also celebrated within the Nepalese community. Known as the Festival of Lights, this occasion symbolizes the triumph of Lord Krishna over the demon Narakasura, representing the victory of good over evil. The Diwali festival has been held in Hanoi in recent years, witnessing a growing interest from participants, both from the Indian community and others eager to explore Indian traditions.

Tickets are available for purchase at the Incham Office located at the Heritage Hotel, 625 De La Thanh Street, starting from 14 October 2025. Early bird tickets are priced at VND 99,000 (approximately USD 4) and will cost VND 149,000 (about USD 6.5) at the door.
