A little “Chit-chatting” with the first Pecha Kucha Night ever in Hanoi
Pecha Kucha Night will be held at Hanoi Cinematheque from 8.00 to 10.00pm on 29 September (Thursday). This is the first time this global phenomenal artistic event is organized in Hanoi.
Pecha Kucha Night will be held at Hanoi Cinematheque from 8:00 to 10:00 PM on October 5th (Saturday), 2025. This marks the second time this global artistic phenomenon has been organized in Hanoi.
The night promises to delight participants with a series of informal presentations led by artists and art enthusiasts residing in Hanoi. These presenters hail from various artistic communities, including photography, culture, design, and social initiatives. The main goal of the event is to foster connections among passionate individuals, showcase creative ideas, and share captivating stories with the audience.
Pecha Kucha Night is a global artistic event that originated in Japan and has since spread to over 1,200 cities worldwide. The format allows individuals to display their creativity through concise presentations—specifically, the “20x20” format, which includes “20 images, with 20 seconds allocated for each image.”
Participants at Pecha Kucha Night do not need to be professionals; they simply need to have a passion for their topic and the ability to engage and inspire their audience through their presentations.
Pecha Kucha Night in Hanoi is presented by Colin Campbell and Pham Van Anh, two avid art lovers who have spent considerable time in Japan and attended numerous Pecha Kucha events in Tokyo.
The event is open to all guests and is free of charge, with light snacks and soft beverages provided. Those interested in attending or wishing to register to present can contact the organizers via email at pechakuchahanoi@gmail.com for more information.
