With the new theme “The Red River Civilization”, Vietnam is proud to welcome international tourists to The National Tourism Year 2013 with an amazing chain of 70 events to be held along the country, announced by the organizing board of these events.

According to Mr. Hoang Anh Tuan, Minister of Culture, Sport and Tourism, this year’s national tourism sets the highest priority on promoting the natural beauty of tourist destinations, along with intensifying tourism development connection among localities.
Hai Phong City has the honor to hold 13 events out of the 70. The city is also the place to host the opening ceremony of the National Tourism Year 2013. The Deputy Chairman of the Hai Phong People’ Committee said that Hai Phong has invested gorgeously on the ceremony in attempt to create a memorable and enjoyable event.
The opening ceremony of the National Tourism Year 2013 is held on January 6, 2013 which welcomes the Minister of Tourism from France, and Ministers or Chairmen of National Tourism Organs in China, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Russia, Laos and Thailand, and the performance of famous art troupes of Kitakyushu (Japan), Incheon (the Republic of Korea), Vladivostock (Russia), Vientiane (Laos) and others from Thailand, China, India, Finland, Australia, the US, and France.
