Vinh Airport is a domestic airport located 7km from the center of Vinh city.
Location
Vinh International Airport is situated in Nghi Lien Commune, approximately 7 kilometers from the center of Vinh City. As a key transportation hub for passengers traveling to North Central Vietnam, particularly Nghe An Province, the airport is equipped with 28 check-in counters, a VIP lounge, and advanced facilities. With an annual capacity to handle 3 million passengers, Vinh International Airport features two levels: the first floor for arrivals and the second floor for departures, complete with a departure lounge and four boarding gates.
Currently, four domestic airlines operate from Vinh International Airport: Vietnam Airlines, Pacific Airlines, VietJet Air, and Bamboo Airways. These airlines offer flights to major destinations including Ho Chi Minh City, Da Lat, Buon Me Thuot, Can Tho, and Hanoi.
While Vinh International Airport is designated as an international airport, it has yet to establish international flight routes. Future plans include opening direct flights to destinations like Kuala Lumpur, Tokyo, and Seoul, aiming to enhance its connectivity.
