Over the weekend, temperatures are expected to slightly decrease from an average of 22 degrees Celsius on Friday to around 20 degrees Celsius on Sunday. Friday is likely the best day for outdoor activities; however, if you are busy, Sunday may also be a viable option for enjoying the outdoors.

Da Nang

Da Nang is basking in sunshine these days, making it an ideal time to enjoy the beach in this coastal city. Temperatures are hovering around 25 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 10 km/h contributing to warm and breezy weather. This climate is perfect for sightseeing as well as beach sports. Popular activities include trekking through lush forests or snorkeling excursions in the Son Tra Peninsula, both of which promise great experiences.

Ho Chi Minh City

Following a Friday filled with thunder and heavy clouds, Ho Chi Minh City will enjoy a sunny weekend, perfect for outdoor activities. The temperature is expected to range from 25 to 36 degrees Celsius. With high humidity at 89%, the weather can feel quite oppressive at times. Tourists are advised to wear hats, long-sleeve shirts, and sunscreen when engaging in outdoor activities and to limit exposure to the sun during peak hours (approximately 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM).

1. Cheo to be on stage in Paris

Cheo, the traditional northern-style opera of Vietnam, was recently showcased in Paris at the 27th Festival de L’Imaginaire. The famed Cheo play "Quan Am Thi Kinh," performed by artists from the Vietnam National Cheo Theatre, took place at the Maison des Cultures du Monde on March 16th and 17th, 2025.

2. First cultural festival of minor communities in Tay Nguyen

The first cultural and sports festival dedicated to Tay Nguyen’s ethnic groups is scheduled to be held in Buon Ma Thuot City, the central highlands’ metropolis. The event, lasting for three days from May 18th to 20th, 2025, will feature a variety of activities including art performances, ethnic sports, and folklore festivities, with participation from local communities and art troupes representing five provinces in Tay Nguyen.

While in Buon Ma Thuot, visitors should make sure to stop by the DaK Lak Museum, the largest museum in Vietnam dedicated to the nature, culture, and people of Tay Nguyen, which has been thriving since its recent opening last November.

3. Air Mekong to expand flights in summer 2025

To accommodate rising demand for summer holidays in 2025, the private airline Air Mekong is set to expand its flights on existing routes. The Hanoi-Phu Quoc route is anticipated to see the highest number of additional flights, with about 9-10 extra flights per week. Air Mekong also plans to introduce new direct routes from Tay Nguyen to coastal destinations like Phu Quoc and Con Dao in the near future.
