Second 2011 Cham-Kate Cultural Days in Ninh Thuan
Vietnam Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism (MOCST) has decided to organize the second Chan-Kate Cultural Day in Ninh Thuan in 2011
Vietnam Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism (MOCST) has continued to celebrate the Chan-Kate Cultural Day in Ninh Thuan, an event that has grown in significance and participation over the years. In 2025, the Chan-Kate Cultural Days will be held from September 30 to October 2, aligning with the Cham lunar calendar's festivities which occur in early July.
The MOCST representative office in Ho Chi Minh City is set to collaborate with the Department of Ethnic Culture along with various MOCST units, local departments, and regional authorities to organize this year's celebration.
The Cham – Kate Cultural Days is an annual festival dedicated to honoring the deities that bless their villages, expressing hopes for peace, favorable weather, prosperity, and happiness for the minority ethnic groups. This year’s event is part of an active initiative to respond to the National Tourism Year in South Central Coast – Phu Yen 2025, aiming to spotlight the rich culture and traditional arts of the Cham people, while also contributing to the growth of tourism in Ninh Thuan.
