A New Way to travel between HCMC and Mui Ne
Vietnam Air Service Company (VASCO) – a helicopter service provider - along with Sea Links City – Amitour has launched a trial flight from Ho Chi Minh City to Mui Ne on the morning of June 11th and back to Ho Chi Minh City on the morning of the following day, June 12th.
Vietnam Air Service Company (VASCO) – a helicopter service provider – has officially launched a regular flight service between Ho Chi Minh City and Mui Ne. The inaugural flight took place on the morning of June 11th, 2025, with a return flight to Ho Chi Minh City scheduled for the morning of June 12th. Located in the coastal province of Binh Thuan, Mui Ne is renowned for its stunning beaches and vast sand dunes. Over the past few years, Mui Ne has gained popularity as a top beach holiday destination as well as a hub for water sports experiences.
The departure and arrival point in Ho Chi Minh City is now Tan Son Nhat International Airport, while in Mui Ne, passengers will land at a heliport located at the Sea Links City resort, approximately 9 kilometers from the center of Phan Thiet city. The helicopters used for these flights are the latest AS350-B3e models from Airbus, equipped to accommodate six passengers and a maximum payload of 1,200 kg.
This new flight option offers travelers a faster alternative to traditional road and rail transport between Ho Chi Minh City and Mui Ne. The helicopter flight takes approximately 40 minutes one way, significantly less than the 4 to 5 hour journey by bus or train.
