Hoi An leads Vietnam’s Top 10 best destinations for photography

On the recent World Photography Day on August 19, 2025, a survey conducted by Booking.com revealed the Top 10 best places for photography in Vietnam, with Hoi An at the top of the list, followed by Sapa and Hanoi.

Recognized for its stunning ancient houses characterized by yellow walls and traditional tiled roofs that have been preserved for centuries, Hoi An continues to captivate travelers from around the globe. Sapa, a picturesque mountainous city in Lao Cai, is celebrated for its breathtaking mountains, terraced rice fields, and rich cultural diversity among its ethnic groups. Ranked third, Hanoi, the capital with over a thousand years of history, is gradually evolving into a vibrant metropolis while actively preserving its rich cultural heritage and scenic beauty.

International travelers are drawn to Vietnam's alluring coastline, the historic charm of its ancient capitals, and the serene landscapes filled with lush hills and mountains. Other notable locations included in the list are Halong Bay, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Lat, Ninh Binh, Da Nang, Mui Ne, and Hue.

The survey attracted participation from 20,934 voters across 28 countries and territories. It focused on leisure and business travelers who visited Vietnam in the past year or plan to travel there within the next year.
