In an effort to attract more international tourists and encourage them to stay longer, Hanoi Department for Culture, Sports and Tourism approved a new plan to improve amusement infrastructure.

Accordingly, more entertainment complexes will be developed to serve international travelers. A new amusing center at suburb area with bar, electronic games center and art shows is going to be established soon and it is expected to be no more than 20km away from the city center.

Nightlife services are also another priority of the plan whichincludes transforming the areas around Hoan Kiem Lake and the Old Quarter into pedestrian streets at night, as well as enhancing services in the areas with more bar streets and night food streets.

Hanoi is considered one of the most important tourist destinations in Vietnam, but there is a fact that travelers do not spend long time in the city, or only consider it as a transit to other nearby locations.
