Hanoi tourism to invest more in entertainment services

In an effort to attract more international tourists and encourage them to stay longer, the Hanoi Department for Culture, Sports and Tourism has approved an updated plan to enhance amusement infrastructure as of 2025.

As part of this initiative, new entertainment complexes are set to be developed to cater to international travelers. A themed entertainment center will be established in a suburban area, featuring a bar, an electronic games center, and art performances. This center is expected to be located no more than 20 kilometers from the city center, providing easy access for visitors.

Improving nightlife offerings is another key focus of this plan. The areas surrounding Hoan Kiem Lake and the Old Quarter will be transformed into vibrant pedestrian streets during the evenings. This will include enhancing services in areas with bustling bar streets and night food markets, creating a lively atmosphere for night owls.

Hanoi remains one of the most significant tourist destinations in Vietnam. However, it is noted that many travelers do not spend extended periods in the city, often viewing it merely as a transit point to other nearby attractions. This new plan aims to change that perception, making Hanoi a more appealing destination for longer stays.
