European Music Festival 2011 kicks off on 17 Nov in HCMC

The Delegation of the European Union to Vietnam, in collaboration with The Embassies of EU Member States and Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism of Vietnam is bringing European Music Festival back to Vietnam. This year’s festival promises a hearty music party consisting of brilliant musicians from European Countries.

This year’s festival promises a hearty music party consisting of brilliant musicians from European Countries.

EU Music Festival 2011 brings to Vietnamese audience twenty top performers from Germany, the Netherlands, France, England, Belgium and Slovakia, who will perform a wide range of music genres: Classic-Contemporary, Jazz, Pop and Rock. Additionally, audience will have the chance to witness stunning combination of the above artists and Vietnamese music professionals. The blend is supposed to be the highlight of the festival, named “World Music”.

French Artist in European Music Festival Vietnam

EU Music Festival is a yearly event starting in 2000 with the purpose to promote EU culture as well as creating a friendly environment for EU people and Vietnamese people to interact and exchange their cultures, said Franz Jessen – Head of The Delegation of the European Union to Vietnam in the EU Music Festival press conference on 10 November.

To raise the curtain, the world-class Germany band “Ma’a lot” Quintet will bring to HCMC audiences a Classic-Contemporary night on 17.11.2011 then move to Hanoi on 18.11.2011. Followed by famous bands such as Avalonia Trio, Swing Quartet and Zun Zun Egui, the festival is expected to last till 28.11.2011 and conclude with the appearance of Slovakian music idol Milena Minichova.

EU Music Festival is one of many yearly cultural activities of EU countries in Vietnam, creating extremely exciting atmospheres among art-interested audiences. High quality performances are not the only feature enchanting people but free tickets for most of the events are highly appreciated as well.
