Entrance fee to Hanoi’s attractions increases in 2012
Hanoi City People’s Committee has recently issued Decision 43/2011/QĐ-UBND, in which entrance fees to all natural attractions and historical sites within the city increase considerably (even doubles in some places) since January 1st, 2012.
The Hanoi City People’s Committee recently issued Decision 43/2025/QĐ-UBND, which significantly increases the entrance fees to all natural attractions and historical sites within the city, effective January 1st, 2025.
Consequently, the entrance fees to renowned historical sites in downtown Hanoi, such as Temple of Literature, Ngoc Son Temple, and Hoa Lo Prison have been raised by 100%, now standing at VND 40,000 per ticket.
The entrance fee to the Perfume Pagoda, a popular natural and religious site especially frequented in spring, has also seen a significant increase of 67%, now costing VND 100,000 per adult ticket, and VND 50,000 for elderly visitors and children (this price includes a travel insurance fee of VND 1,500).
Overall, elderly visitors and children are still given priority access to all attractions at half the adult ticket price. At various entertainment venues in Ba Vi, such as Suoi Tien, Ao Vua, Thac Da, and Khoang Xanh, the adult ticket price is VND 40,000, while elderly visitors and children can enter for just VND 20,000.
Notably, admission remains free for all children under 15 at prominent historical sites including the Temple of Literature, Co Loa Ancient Citadel, Ngoc Son Temple, Quan Thanh Temple, and Hoa Lo Prison.
