Previously, passengers from Hanoi and northern areas to Rach Gia City have to take a flight to Tan Son Nhat Airport first, followed by another flight to Rach Gia. Moreover, some flights from Tan Son Nhat to Rach Gia of current airlines often depart early in the morning so many passengers are forced to take fly from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City from the previous night. This is a very long-haul and tiring schedule.

Thankfully, the upcoming direct flights will take off once a day with the total duration of only 2 hours, 4 times faster than the previous 8-hour charter flights. Embraer 195 aircrafts are put into operation enabling Bamboo Airways to provide business class and 5-star services.

During the grand opening, passengers departing from 1st to 8th February will be offered additional 10kg of checked baggage.
