Ballet aficionados in Hanoi have a wonderful opportunity to experience an exceptional artistic program organized by the Vietnam Opera Ballet in collaboration with L’Espace Hanoi and the Embassy of France in Vietnam. This event will take place at the Hanoi Opera House on 10 October 2025 at 8:00 PM.

The performance features excerpts from several renowned ballet masterpieces, including "Diane Et Actéon," "Raymonda," and a special presentation of “Đám cưới của Mỵ Châu” (My Chau's Wedding) from the acclaimed ballet "Mối tình thành cổ." This celebrated piece was originally performed in Vietnam to mark the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long – Hanoi.

Choreographers Jean-Paul Gravier and Bertrand d’Art, Director of the National du Rhin Ballet, are responsible for staging all performances in this program. The participation of the artists from the Vietnam Opera Ballet alongside Dorothee Gibert and Stephane Bullion from the Opera de Paris Ballet promises to create an exciting cultural exchange.

Dorothee Gibert and Stephane Bullion are prominent ballet stars from the Opera de Paris Ballet and have gained recognition in the French ballet scene from a young age. Both joined the Opera de Paris Ballet at 17 years old. Stephane Bullion was honored with the title of Étoile in 2010, while Dorothee Gibert achieved the same prestigious rank in 2007 at just 24 years old. (Étoile is the highest distinction awarded to performers at the Opera de Paris Ballet.)

The Vietnam Opera Ballet, which is partnering in this performance, was established in 1959 with the mission to promote ballet and develop this artistic discipline in Vietnam. The company has introduced a variety of internationally acclaimed ballet productions, such as "Les Sylphides," "Giselle," and "Romeo and Juliet," to Vietnamese audiences. Additionally, it has staged many performances that showcase unique Vietnamese themes or involved collaborations with international choreographers.
