In July, there are lots of activities and events happening in and around Ho Chi Minh City. Four major conferences and exhibitions are expected to beat the heat of July in the city.

Expo and Conference:
July 02 - 06: VietBuild 2011 exhibition at Phu Tho Sporting Hall ( 01 Lu Gia Street, Ward 15, District 11). 
July 05 - 08: The 8th Vietnam International Precision Engineering, Machine Tools and Metalworking Exhibition & Conference at SECC, 799 Nguyen Van Linh Boulevard, Tan Phong Ward, District 7.
July 14 - July 17: “Consumer Digital World Expo”, the 16th annual largest international ICT Conference and Expo in Vietnam at the same venue.
July 21 - July 23: Shoes and Leather Vietnam Conference at SECC.

Entertainment:
For recreational activities, on weekend evenings, from 6 p.m. to 7:10 p.m., “Xin Chao” Show, a combination of dances, martial arts and music showing Vietnamese culture and history is available at 23/9 Park, Pham Ngu Lao Street, District 1. The ticket price is $12.50/adult, $6.25/ children from 6 to 10 years old and free for kids under 6. More information is available at Xin Chao website.  

Besides, over 400 antiques from Tay Son Dynasty (18th century) will be showcased until October 31, 2011 at Vietnam History Museum in Ho Chi Minh City (02 Nguyen Binh Khiem Street, Ben Nghe Ward, District 1).  

Live music, as usual, is performed at 9 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. at coffee shops, bars and pubs in Dong Khoi area. Advanced reservations are recommended, especially during weekends.
