Halong Carnival 2013 to be held in massive-scale

This year’s carnival is proposed to have the capacity of 7,000 to 10,000 seats in order to serve the best out of the increasing number of tourists to Halong recently.

The People Committee of Halong has just approved and announced the proposal of Halong Carnival 2013. Accordingly, the main stage of the carnival is situated on Hoang Quoc Viet Road, Hung Thang District; and the opening ceremony occurs at 20:00, April 27 with its theme “Quang Ninh’s Colours – Integration and Spread”.

Halong Carnival 2013 celebrates the 50th birthday of Halong City and promotes the image of Quang Ninh tourism, as well as the beauty of Halong Bay – one of the seven natural wonders of the world. The content of the event includes: opening ceremony, art and music shows, and carnival’s parade. Interestingly, this year’s event involves special performances of world class art troupes coming from Japan, Korea, China and Laos.

In this year, Quang Ninh Province calls for support from maximum number of civilians, in collaboration with organizer and authorities to re-decorate the city, clean up the environment, enhance security in attempt to provide tourist great urban beauty and comfort when visit Halong City during carnival time.

Transport:

Halong is 3.5 hours drive from Hanoi and Hanoi International Airport. Once can take a bus from My Dinh station or book a car to get there. There is no direct train line from Hanoi to Halong Bay.
