From August 16th to 26th, 2025, Ha Giang invites travelers to a variety of events during the week titled “Dong Van - The Impressive Rock Plateau”, featuring cultural festivities such as the Khen Mong festival, Cow Fighting festival, and the vibrant "Night of the Old Town" celebration.

The Dong Van Rock Plateau is a unique highland region located in the extreme north of Vietnam, covering nearly 600 km2 across four districts: Quan Ba, Yen Minh, Dong Van, and Meo Vac in Ha Giang province. It holds the distinction of being Vietnam’s first and Southeast Asia's second Global Geological Park, a title it received in 2010. The plateau, which rises to elevations between 1,000 and 1,600 meters above sea level, is a site where fossils dating back 400 to 600 million years have been uncovered.

Today, visitors to Ha Giang can explore towering limestone peaks, visit the geological park, trek to remote villages of the Mong ethnic group, and experience local cultural activities including cow fighting and traditional art performances. The charming towns are alive with the spirit of celebration.

Recent statistics show that over 30,000 tourists, including 10,000 international visitors, flocked to Ha Giang last month, highlighting the region's allure with its breathtaking landscapes and the rich cultural heritage of its ethnic residents. So, why wait? Come to Ha Giang and immerse yourself in the festivities this week!
