Continuing the success of the German Film Festival in 2010 and 2011, the Goethe Institute Vietnam will bring the special event back for the third time from 6 September to 4 October.

This year’s festival promises a great selection of recent German films which have been particularly successful with audiences in cinemas around the world as well as at the Berlin Film Festival and other festivals. The selected films vary in genres and themes, ranging from home and identity, extraordinary love or passion to friendship and responsibility. The stories they tell are dramatic, humorous, melancholic and fantastic and sometimes all of these at once.

The selection of 10 films will be screened in six cities of Vietnam: Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Hue, Nha Trang and Hai Phong.  In Hanoi, tickets are available for collection from 31 August at the Goethe Institute Hanoi, 56-58 Nguyen Thai Hoc Street. Further information on film synopsis, schedules and venues can be found at the official website of Goethe Institute.
