Exhibition in Hanoi featuring Bahnar Minority

From September 5 to 19, a photography exhibition about the Bahnar will be held at L'Espace, Hanoi.

L'Espace has continued to establish itself as a prominent venue for arts enthusiasts and cultural exhibitions. This year, L'Espace will host an exhibition titled "The Bahnar Minorities in Kontum," taking place from September 5 to September 15, 2025.

The Bahnar is one of the 54 recognized ethnic minorities in Vietnam, with a population exceeding 22,000, primarily residing in the Central Highlands provinces, including Gia Lai, Kon Tum, and Phu Yen. Despite their rich cultural heritage, the Bahnar are relatively lesser-known compared to other ethnic groups in Vietnam.

This exhibition promises to provide deeper insight into the culture and lives of the Bahnar people. The displayed photographs are the artistic works of local folk culturalists Nguyen Dong Chi and Nguyen Kinh Thi, both of whom have dedicated time to exploring and documenting the life of the Bahnar communities.

Admission to the event is free, and it will be held at L'Espace, located at 24 Trang Tien, Hanoi.
