Thanks to the European Union National Institutes for Culture (EUNIC) in collaboration with the Vietnam National Opera Ballet (VNOB), audiences can enjoy the latest trends in the European contemporary dance scene in Hanoi on September 8th and 9th, 2025, at the Youth Theatre, located at 11 Ngo Thi Nham Street, Hanoi. Each evening will feature three distinct performance pieces.

The opening performance will be a new work titled "Fire Fly’s Season," created by VNOB, exploring love in its various forms. Following this, Karine Pontier from the Wallonie-Bruxelles delegation will present her remarkable piece "Benedetto Pacifico," performed by Ricardo Machado. This innovative Belgian piece delves into the inner fears that individuals must confront and the enigmatic figures that linger in their imaginations.

The show continues with a collaborative work between German and Vietnamese artists. German choreographer Hans Henning Paar has developed a new piece with VNOB dancers. Set to the passionate music of Franz Schubert, "Death and the Maiden" narrates the journey of a young girl who initially resists her fate but ultimately embraces her mortality.

Tickets are available free of charge starting Monday, September 1st, 2025, at the Goethe-Institute Hanoi, located at 56-58 Nguyen Thai Hoc Street. For further information, please contact 024-3734-2251/52/53.
