According to an announcement from Hai Phong City, a cultural festival celebrating the children of minority communities is set to take place from June 28th to June 30th, 2025. The event will kick off with an opening ceremony at 8:00 pm on June 28th at Hai Phong’s Theatre Square.

This festival is one of the few cultural events dedicated to children, particularly those from ethnic minority groups. During the three-day festival, the spiritual lives of children from various regions of Vietnam will be showcased through a plethora of cultural activities, including folk songs and stories, traditional games, and artistic performances at five notable locations throughout the city. Additionally, there will be an exhibition focused on sustainable environmental practices through children's initiatives. Over 1,500 children and young artists are expected to participate in the festivities.

Children's culture in Vietnam plays a vital role in the overall tapestry of Vietnamese traditions. This rich culture encompasses various fields, with a diverse range of folk songs, stories, and games. However, the influence of modern Western children's culture has contributed to the erosion of traditional practices, highlighting an urgent need for efforts to preserve and promote Vietnam's unique cultural heritage.
