Ethnic children culture festival to come up at Hai Phong City
According to announcement from Hai Phong City, a cultural festival on children of minor communities is projected to be held from June 28th to 30th. The event is started with an opening ceremony at 8:00 pm on June 28th at Hai Phong’s Theatre Square.

This is one of rare cultural festivals held for children, particularly ethnic ones. During 3 days of the event, spiritual lives of children from different regions in Vietnam are presented via numerous cultural activities, including folk songs and tales, traditional games and art performances at 5 distinguished locations around the city. Besides, an exhibition on sustainable environment through children’s actions is scheduled. It is estimated there are more than 1,500 children and young artists participating in all activities of the occasion.
Children’s culture in Vietnam contributes a significant part in whole tradition of Vietnamese. That includes various fields, more diverse in folk songs and tales or folk games. At present, with appearance of modern child culture from Western, children culture in Vietnam has been eroded particularly, and truly needed urgent effort to preserve.
