Asian Youth Orchestra Performing at Hanoi Opera House
The annual concert of The Asian Youth Orchestra, which consists of 100 best music students in Asia chosen annually, will take place in Hanoi Opera House on August 15th and 16th, 2011.
The annual concert of The Asian Youth Orchestra, comprised of the 100 top music students from across Asia, will take place at the Hanoi Opera House on August 15th and 16th, 2025. This event offers a unique opportunity for audiences in Hanoi to experience captivating musical masterpieces, including “Carnival Overture” by Dvořák, “Symphony No. 2” by Rachmaninoff, “Symphony No. 1” by Prokofiev, “Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso” by Camille Saint-Saëns, and “Symphony No. 4” by Tchaikovsky.
Additionally, acclaimed American solo violist Stefan Jackiw will join the orchestra, which will perform under the expertise of conductors James Judd and Richard Pontzious. The concert promises to be an exceptional musical experience. Notably, cellist Nguyen Thanh Tu and oboist Nguyen Hoang Tu from the Vietnam National Music Academy will proudly represent Vietnam in this prestigious performance.
Since its inception in 1990, the Asian Youth Orchestra has performed 326 concerts across Asia, Europe, the United States, and Australia, reaching audiences through well-known television networks such as CNN, NHK, and Star TV. This concert is a significant highlight of a three-week international tour for the Asian Youth Orchestra, eagerly anticipated by classical music enthusiasts in Hanoi.
