A photo exhibition themed Ancient Saigon is currently being held at Cosmo Café, located at 86 bis Lê Thánh Tôn, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City.
The open space in the café’s garden, situated behind the Fine Arts Museum, serves as the exhibition ground for 70 unique photographs capturing ancient Saigon. These images, taken in a journalistic style by various photographers, vividly reflect the daily life of Saigon in the past, presenting a faithful and immersive portrayal. Notable photos include street vendors, a pavement café outside a French colonial hotel, a mobile beer-selling cart, and traditional costumes of Southern women, allowing visitors to experience the essence of early 20th-century Saigonese life.
Visitors to Ho Chi Minh City in August should take the opportunity to visit Cosmo Café to witness the evolution of the "Pearl of the Far East" through compelling black and white photography, while savoring a cup of coffee in a tranquil and green oasis.
The exhibition is open daily from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., running from August 1st to August 31st, 2025.
